Loved the gym and room!

Stayed in a Club Room and it was fantastic! The gym facilities were so impressive, I actually got a good workout in. Having Starbucks right there was super convenient for my morning coffee. Seriously, everything you need under one roof. I'm definitely coming back for another stay, and I've already told my sister about it!

Good deal for a quick stay

I booked a standard double room for a weekend getaway. I signed up for their Booking Revolution to get the 10% off room rates, which made the price much better. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It felt like a good value for what we paid, especially with the discount applied automatically. I'd consider them again if I need a budget-friendly option.

Booked a family room online. Process was simple. Room was ready on arrival. Kids enjoyed the pool. No issues at all. Good for a family trip.

Consistently good experience

This was my third time staying at a Village Hotel, and they're always reliable. I booked a twin room this time, and it was just as expected – clean, modern, and comfortable. I appreciate the consistency across their locations. The check-in process was smooth, and the on-site restaurant was handy again. It's why I keep coming back; I know what I'm getting.

Decent stay, few minor points

I stayed for a business trip and opted for a standard double room. The room itself was fine, clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. The gym facilities were a real plus, very well-equipped. However, the air conditioning in my room seemed a bit weak, and it took a while to cool down properly. Also, while the bar and grill was convenient, the service was a little slow during peak dinner hours. Overall, a solid 4-star experience, but those two things could be improved.

Stayed for a tribute night

Went to a tribute night with friends. It was a good laugh, really fun atmosphere. We had dinner there too, which was pretty standard hotel food but did the job. The room was clean enough for the night, nothing fancy but totally fine. Parking was easy. Overall, a decent night out and stay.

I'm looking to book a few nights next month, but wondering how easy it is to cancel if plans change. Anyone had to cancel a booking before?

B Brett K. 3 weeks ago
Super easy if you booked a flexible rate. I had to cancel last minute once and it was no problem, got my refund pretty quick.

Just check the cancellation policy for your specific booking. Sometimes it's free up to a certain point, other times if you got a super cheap deal, it might be non-refundable. Read the fine print!

Anyone know if you can use multiple discount codes? Like if I have a corporate one and a Booking Revolution thing?

R Rosa 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure it's one discount code per booking. I've never managed to stack them.

Nah, usually only one coupon works at a time. The Booking Revolution discount applies automatically if you're logged in, so you'd probably have to choose between that and a manual code.

Thinking of booking a club room, what's actually included with those? Is it worth the extra cash?

N Nick A. 1 month ago
Yeah, club rooms are pretty sweet. You usually get a bigger room, better toiletries, and access to a few extras like a dedicated lounge or something similar. Free breakfast is often included too.

For me, the main perk was the upgraded internet and often a mini-fridge with some freebies. If you value those little comforts, it's probably worth it.

Anyone know if they do NHS discount? Or Blue Light Card? Trying to save some money on a weekend away.

D Dana Beaumont 1 month ago
Yep, they definitely do Blue Light Card discount. Just make sure you have your card handy when you check in, sometimes they ask for it.

Pretty sure I've used an NHS discount before. You usually just tick a box or enter a code during booking. Check the deals section of their site, it should be listed there.

Is Village Hotels considered more of a budget option like Travelodge, or a bit more upscale, like a Holiday Inn maybe?

D Daisy Kaur 1 month ago
Definitely more upscale than Travelodge or Premier Inn. I'd put it more in line with Holiday Inn or maybe even some Marriotts, especially with the facilities.

It's like a step up from basic budget hotels. You get more amenities, like the gym and pool, and the rooms are generally nicer. Not luxury, but certainly not budget.
